Play Stine’s Fields of Green Contest at Farm Progress Show to Be Eligible to Win

Adel , IA - August 24, 2011

Stine Seed Company will be at the 2011 Farm Progress Show August 30-September 1 in Decatur, Ill., to give attendees the chance to win an Unverferth Seed Runner Seed Tender and more in Stine’s Fields of Green instant win and second chance contest. Growers should stop by booth 1146 to learn more about Stine Genuity® Roundup Ready 2 Yield® soybeans, Stine’s new HP high-population hybrids and ScoutProLite, a mobile application designed to help growers scout their fields.

Farm Progress Show attendees who visit Stine’s booth can play the Fields of Green contest for a chance to instantly win a Stine® Genuity Roundup Ready 2 Yield® hat. They are also eligible to win a 16GB Apple® iPad 2® with Wi-Fi or— the grand prize — an Unverferth Seed Runner Seed Tender filled with Stine® Genuity Roundup Ready 2 Yield® soybeans by submitting a second chance code and entering online at www.stineseed.com/fieldsofgreen.

Stine representatives will be on-hand to tell growers about the latest trait technologies available in the 2012 seed catalog— including 20 new lines of Stine® Genuity Roundup Ready 2 Yield® soybeans, LibertyLink® soybeans and Stine HP corn. Stine® Genuity Roundup Ready 2 Yield® soybeans deliver greater yield potential than original Roundup Ready beans, and allow growers to use the same outstanding weed control they’ve come to rely upon from the Roundup Ready system. Stine LibertyLink® soybeans offer excellent standability, strong disease resistance and an in-bred tolerance to Ignite® herbicide so growers can fight glyphosate-resistant weeds and maximize their profitability. Stine’s world-class breeding program continues to deliver superior varieties of LibertyLink® soybeans faster than the competition, giving growers access to the highest-yielding traits packaged in the industry’s most sought after genetics.

Growers who are considering their hybrid choices for the 2012 planting season should ask about Stine HP corn. These high-population hybrids are ideally suited for planting in narrower rows at higher populations, helping growers maximize overall production capabilities and profitability.

“This is an exciting time in the seed industry, and Stine’s high-population hybrids are leading the way in corn production technology,” says Vice President of Sales and Marketing Myron Stine. “Stop by our booth to learn how Stine HP corn can help growers unlock their field’s true yield potential.”

Additionally, ScoutProLite, Iowa State University’s Entrepreneurial Initiative students’ mobile scouting application will be at Stine’s booth to explain to growers how the app can help them scout their fields more efficiently. The application, which acts as a server on all mobile devices, contains Iowa State’s corn and soybean field scouting manual and allows growers to save plot data and track yearly trends to help them select the hybrids and varieties best suited for their acres. Stop by Stine’s booth, number 1146, at the 2011 Farm Progress Show to learn more.
