Finishing up Another Season in the Fields

In my region growers have harvested nearly 95 percent of soybeans and 70 percent of corn. Heavy flooding this summer was an issue for growers everywhere, but the good fall weather in my area allowed harvest to go well.
It’s great to look back at another successful season and look ahead to next year. Naturally, there was Goss’s Wilt, but we have a large selection of hybrids that protect against it and I suggest looking at those for your 2012 lineup. We also have several high–population products that we are really looking forward to getting out in the fields next year.
When thinking about soybeans for 2012, I suggest picking a variety that is best against Sudden Death Syndrome as we’ve seen some of that in the past few months. Stine® LibertyLink® is also a good choice for 2012 because it is always one of our highest–yielding varieties.
As growers wrap up harvest, I suggest wearing goggles and gloves when applying anhydrous. And as always, be safe.
