Stine Corn Offers F.I.R.S.T. - Class Yields
Stine Seed Company’s 9525VT3 brand topped the Farmer’s Independent Research of Seed Technologies (F.I.R.S.T.) plot performance test plot for 2008 Better Hybrids in the North Central Tri-States Region in the early season test 101- to 106-day CRM division.
9525VT3 tested at 209.6 average bushels per acre, well above the test average of 191.5.
“This was a tough year for yields, due in large measure to the roller coaster weather conditions growers experienced in much of the Corn Belt,” says David Thompson, National Sales and Marketing Director for Stine Seed Company. “The performance of Stine’s 9525VT3 is a testament to the ability of Stine genetics to soldier through tough conditions and still maintain high yield performance. At the end of the day, the only thing that matters is how much corn comes out of the field at harvest.”
F.I.R.S.T. is an association of farmers organized to find newly developed and trait-added seed corn and soybean products that improve their grain operations.
