Stine® and Make-A-Wish® Harvesting Wishes™ Program

Stine has yield, and that goes well beyond the farm. Now, Stine and our grower customers have the opportunity to grant wishes for critically ill children in the communities we serve.

In partnership with Make-A-Wish® Iowa, the Harvesting Wishes Program connects the agriculture community with critically ill children waiting for their wishes to be granted. Whether it’s an in-kind, monetary or supply request donation, this initiative is cultivating hope and resiliency for critically ill children in our communities.

Stine Seed Company Harvesting Wishes Program

Stine corn customers donating to Make-A-Wish can earn a $20/unit discount on all full price increase corn units purchased, shipped and planted in the 2024 season.

How It Works

  1. 1 Purchase Stine Corn to be shipped and planted in the 2024 season.
  2. 2 Qualify to earn a $20/unit discount on qualifying corn units increased over 2023.*
  3. 3 Pledge a donation to Make-A-Wish’s Harvesting Wishes Program in an amount equal to the entire earned discount.*
  4. 4 Complete your donation to Make-A-Wish to help cultivate hope for children with critical illnesses.*

Make-A-Wish will contact you directly to assist with facilitation of your pledged donation amount.

Stine’s Harvesting Wishes program is open to both new and existing Stine corn customers and can be used in conjunction with other discounts and incentives offered by Stine Seed Company on qualifying purchases. Eligible discounts earned will be in the form of an “adjustment” of the final statement once the donation has been fulfilled with Make-A-Wish. Donations to Make-A-Wish may be tax-deductible as a charitable donation. Consult a tax professional regarding options.

Rules and eligibility

  • The offer is open to both new and existing Stine corn customers.
  • This incentive can be used in conjunction with other discounts and incentives offered by Stine Seed Company.
  • Eligible Stine corn customers that purchase more full price corn units than their 2023 corn base can receive a discount equal to $20 per increase corn unit to offset an equal donation made by the grower to MAW.
  • For the purpose of this offer, a customer’s 2023 corn base is defined as the account’s 2023 full price corn shipped and planted (all traits). If the account is new or did not purchase and plant Stine corn in 2023, then their corn base is zero.
  • Corn earning this incentive will remain on the account as full price corn; the $20 per unit discount will be reflected as a line item in the “Adjustments” section of their statement.
  • During the sales process, Stine will collect a pledge to MAW from the corn customer equal to $20 for each increase corn unit purchased and planted in 2024, which Stine will forward on to MAW. MAW will contact the grower directly regarding fulfillment of the pledge. Once the pledge has been fulfilled,
  • MAW will communicate with Stine, and the discount will be added to theaccount which the corn is on.
  • If the grower does not complete his or her MAW pledge, then the discount will not be applied.
  • The grower’s MAW donation may be tax-deductible as a charitable donation, but it is up to the grower to consult a tax professional regarding options.
