How to make the most of the Stine® Yield Maximizer Program in 2027

November 2026

Success doesn’t only come from the corn and soybean seed you put in the ground. It comes when the field environment, agronomics and inputs work together to maximize that seed’s potential.

How to make the most of the Stine® Yield Maximizer Program in 2027

That’s how we want Stine® Seed Company’s Yield Maximizer Program to work for you. While we can’t control the weather, we can help you manage many of the other decisions that set your Stine corn seed up to thrive.

“Our goal with the Yield Maximizer Program is to deliver more yield potential to our grower customers and help them get the most out of their Stine corn genetics through data-driven product placement and management decisions,” says Myron Stine, company president. “We’ve always been in the business of helping farmers make money by maximizing yield, and that goes beyond selling the industry’s best corn and soybean genetics. It’s about developing a partnership around every acre and working together to get the right products, inputs and management practices in place to reach that goal.”

Four tips to get the most out of the program

The Yield Maximizer Program centers on placing the right corn product on the right acre, providing expert planting guidance, and checking stand counts and emergence after planting. All three elements work best as part of a hands-on partnership between you and your local Stine team.

To achieve optimal results from our high-yield corn genetics, it’s important to fully leverage the program. Here’s how:

Tip 1: Stay connected with your Stine rep all season.

The more we know about your operation, the better we can understand your fields and situation. Work with your local Stine sales team to schedule regular check-ins, whether in person or over the phone. Each one is built to save you time and guesswork. As part of these conversations, you’ll get:

  • Preseason support: Your Stine sales rep will help you build a field-by-field plan for 2027. Those recommendations are stronger when we know the details of each field, so our team works with you to understand the history of each. We’ll discuss products and inputs you’ve used, planting populations, soil types, your latest soil sampling results, and any areas affected by disease or weed pressure in previous years. The more we know up front, the better we can tailor your plan to your goals.

Then, we’ll meet again to walk through your custom field plan. During this meeting, your Stine sales rep will share product placement, planting timing, population and input recommendations for each field.
  • Post-planting support: About three weeks after planting, or shortly after emergence, your Stine sales rep will walk your fields to assess stand counts and emergence. If any acres need to be replanted, you’ll get a clear recommendation and know how it affects your field plan.
  • Midseason support: Your rep will follow up on crop progress throughout the growing season, connecting with you on herbicide and fungicide timing and ensuring your inputs are working as they should.
  • Harvest support: At or after harvest, your Stine sales rep will help you document how each product performed. Together, you can use lessons learned and data from the season to start building next year’s plan.

“The advantage is having a partner there to help during the growing season and making sure everything is being done to protect that yield as much as you can,” says Todd Schomburg, Stine’s director of recruitment and Yield Maximizer Program lead.

Tip 2: Stick to the plan.

When we build your custom field plan, each field’s product and input recommendations are based on what’s worked best on your farm in the past, along with regional plot results showing which products performed well in environments like yours and insight into the disease and weed pressures likely to show up again in 2027. Every recommendation is backed by tens of thousands of data points from Stine’s own corn plots and research, so you’re planting with confidence instead of guesswork. That’s why it pays to follow the plan as closely as you can. If you’re worried about how the weather might affect your planting timeline or think a different maturity might be a better fit, talk to your Stine sales rep before making changes. Even a small deviation could influence your final yield results.

Tip 3: Review results with your Stine team to help shape next year’s plan.

You don’t have to review yield results alone. Through the Yield Maximizer Program, your Stine representative supports you from emergence through harvest, checking every enrolled field to monitor your crop’s performance from the very start. After harvest, they’ll walk through the yield results with you and interpret the data to help guide next year’s product selections.

Tip 4: Earn an 11% discount through population rewards.

Yield Maximizer Program customers can earn Population Rewards — an 11% discount for proving what Stine genetics can do on corn acres. To qualify, plant an approved Stine hybrid at a finished stand that is 11% higher than a competing hybrid and complete a side-by-side stand count comparison. In return, you’ll receive an 11% discount on that Stine line. Contact your Stine rep if you’re interested in learning more about the Population Rewards program.

“We want to build trust and strong partnerships with our grower customers. This program demonstrates the value we offer beyond the seed bag. Each conversation helps us better understand their operations and work together to maximize yield potential on their acres.”

Todd Schomburg, Stine’s director of recruitment and Yield Maximizer Program lead.
